Study or Work abroad to France?

I have always wanted to live in France, maybe study abroad there or work abroad. Is anyone familiar with any programs that I could do that with that are cost effective? My University offers study abroad but I am a Science Major so it is hard to take time off. I would have to go over the summer, but I work 2 jobs over the summer to pay for school. I would have to find a cheap study abroad trip or work there for a summer. If you have a personal experience with a program that would help validate a program (some internet sources make me nervous!)

why dont you look into Au Pair program,it is great and i am sure it will serve your purpose

If its for a six month or a year long trip, France (or Paris more precisely) is one of the place to be.

But as english speaker, you will have hard time finding a placement for work abroad. Remember CPE strike in France. That was because youth unemployment here is a big problem.

I studied here and in retrospect, I would not have made the same decision.
