Can you work abroad as a Quantity Surveyor with a degree not accredited by RICS? |
I am due to finish my HNC building studies this summer. I am then due to carry on with the degree. However my universitys degree is not RICS accredited. I want to work abroad (Australia or Cyprus) once I have my degree. What are my chances of getting a QS job in these countries with a non RICS accredited degree. I am currently doing my HNC part time and work for a building company as a QS/ assistant QS. Am I best to get a job elsewhere where they will give me the opportunity to get an RICS accredited degree? Ask my company can I change universitys or does it not matter? Any advice much appreciated :) I would strongly suggest your studies are RICS accredited. You can get a job it is not a prolem. Do part time or correspondent studies from college of estate management or relevent accredited course. RICS is only 360 credit 3 year degree try to match these credit points from your current studies if possible. After that only you can do your APC (2years) for the chater. |
