Opinions on this? Divorce and financial disclosure?Husband abroad?

I separated from my husband just over a year ago. I was very unhappy with him, he wanted me to move abroad to his home country...it was then that I realised that I din't love him anymore, that I didn't want to live with him for the rest of my life. He decided to move over anyway. I stayed in our house with our two little boys. .He visits once a month to see the boys, he stays in the house (I vacate) and he spends the weekend with them (they are only 3 and 5). He doesn't help with the mortgage...I struggle to pay this and the bills. His job is not that well paid but isd well paid enough for him to be able to afford a mazda mx5. He pays me a small amount of maintenance a month, but it really is a drop in the ocean. We are getting divorced and I have just given in all my financial details to the solicitor. He says he is not using his solicitor any more as he charges too much. I am not sure he is going to cooperate. What will the courts say about the house and how much he is entitled to?

hire a lawyer my dear. he will find out the whole picture. you should have the lawyer see to it he gets his name off the house in the divorce. then refinance the home at a fixed rate you can swing for payments.he is only giving you what he wants to I'm sure your entitled to more. it does not matter if he agrees or disagrees considering he is in a different country. all that your lawyer will take into consideration as well as the judge. get one quick. once you get divorce if ,you trust him have him take the children elsewhere. you will want to move on with your life down the road. no other man would like the ex at your home overnight and i see their point. I'm a woman but ask the men I'm sure they would agree. you can always sell your home and since you have the children divide the funds 4 ways the two children you and him you keep 3/4th and he gets 1/4th. im not trying to sound greedy or unfair. some guys think woman take everything and some do. that is wrong!!!! he abanded you so he does not care about you only the children. that part with the children is good. I'm sure he has good in him. however, you need to look out for number one. yourself/children. no one else will. so get the ball Rollin. i hope this helps you thanks Kat Source(s): me,my own source ryoutrue2@yahoo.com
nobody knows till you go to court.
sell the house and buy another one that he doesnt know where it is
depends where you are i think, usually the female makes out like a bandit, you will get the house, alimony, and child support, this will be garnished from his wages, although maybe not from another country, i imagine he has moved all his assets, so sell the house and keep any money.
No way to tell since every area handles it differently. I assume you lawyer has given you some idea what is normal and customary with this type of situation.

The biggest fear I have for your situation is that it is likely that at some point in life your husband may try to take the kids overseas with him. It usually happens when his family pressures him. In many countries the husband has all the rights and the kids are his to do with as he pleases. Be careful.
He might try to get you to leave the house so ( it depend on the court paper) he could sell it for a profit. WHY can he help a MAZDA MX5 ?
