Need advice on SAP please!!?

Hi.. I am an MBA [systems] with nearly 2.5 years exp ((in a non-SAP)) ERP product in the HR module as a software engineer. That was a little technical [owing to my bachelors degree in computers] but involved a lot of analytical skills. Now i am in a diff Co. but I find that this is a dead end job requiring none of the above skills and no scope to learn. I am thinking of taking up a SAP course and go on the functional consulting side. would you suggest that doing a SAP course would benefit me and earn sufficient returns [judging by the cost involved] and if so which module would be the best ? HR or others?.. which would be the best learning center in India and what is the scope for jobs abroad? and also what would be the range of the cost factor associated with it?.. i would greatly appreciate your suggestions.. thanks!

I am taking a SAP course right now myself. But, experience in SAP is very important. SAP systems are very expensive to implement, so it is very unlike that any company spent that much money would let a junior level person to touch it. Take the course only can approve you have knowledge of how to do things, but it does not mean you actually can do it. You need to put some real projects on your resume in order to land a job and of course it will be a high pay job.

HR is not one the popular module mainly due to all SAP modules are insanely expensive. I guess the ones that can afford HR are huge, huge companies. Most popular ones are FI/CO, SD, MM or BW. But the good things about HR is less competition. You will be among the few who knows how to work with HR which equals to job security.
