Soon to be college graduate who recently studied abroad and did an internship in London wants to return and? |
work/live there again. My question is...how/where can I look for jobs online? I know I need a company to hire me before I can get a work permit but I haven't had much success with MonsterUK. I'll have a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business. If anyone knows of a company who hires international workers or a place to look online that'd be excellent. Try Canada, they are desperate for employees as the Government says Canada is short staffed. lign="right" > Sign in to vote! Suggest you try to get hired by a U.S.-based firm that does business in the U.K. You might not get there immediately. Your current approach has not worked, perhaps another might be tried. Another option is to look on the U.S. job boards (dozens of very good ones around) for international postings. Best of luck lign="right" > Sign in to vote! It can be IMMENSELY hard for a US citizen (I assume you are?) to break into the European Union. It's my understanding that unless you have an exceptional skill that they don't have in the UK, you'll find it tough to find a job worthy of your degree. Your best bet is to work for a large company that has offices in England. If you're not sure you want to move there for good, there's BUNAC and Alliances Abroad. Both offer graduates and very recent graduates (you must go within 6 months of attaining your degree) the opportunity to work in England. However, the work is typically in retail/hospitality types of places. Good luck! lign="right" > Sign in to vote! lass="explain-text">Sometimes none of the answers get it just right. If so, pick "No Best Answer". Voters DO NOT get any points for voting on the No Best Answer. |
