Finding / choosing a job abroad? |
I reside in South Africa and would like to work apply for work abroad but I unfortunately don't know where to start looking and how to find the right kind of job for me . Any suggestions / tips ???? Very broad question but I'll try to help! First off all you need to examine where you would like to go, which cultures appeal to you, perhaps somewhere you have visited before which you liked, or somewhere where you have connections, family, friends, etc. Do you want city living? Beach life? Somewhere off the beaten track? Small town culture? Is language an issue? Do you need to be in an English speaking country or are you keen to try a completely different lifestyle? Do you have transferable skills? Do you have qualifications and experience that would be welcomed in other countries? Examine work permits and restrictions in different countries, it's not always possible to just relocate and start work. Look at living costs in different countries, how much is rent and bills in relation to salaries. |
