Insurance for cosmetic surgery abroad?

I'm having a rhinoplasty/nose job operation abroad, in Iran. Do you know any insurers and what do they cover?

Most insurers don't cover elective cosmetic surgery, no matter where it is performed. If the surgery was for reconstructive purposes (your face was smashed in an accident), it may be covered. I would be surprised to find any company that would cover you otherwise.

Steven F is correct. Insurance (US companies at least) does not cover elective cosmetic surgery, regardless of where is done.

Cosmetic surgery is not covered. And health insurance plans don't cover procedures done out of the country.

(Not to say that you can't get medical payments or workers comp benefits under a foreign GL rider, or K&R policy, because you can, but that's not common).
