Choose an animation school that teaches the following softwares...Maya and 3dMax ...these are softwares for 3D animation.from there..u will learn the basic of making 3d objects to moving them in films. most of these softwares are also used in making 3d games as well...there also lots of software that offers 3d animation..but the 2 i mention here are the basic softwares u have to learn to start ur career in 3d animation like the ones u see on films nowadays....

Depends on where you live and where you want to study. I know for a fact the Art Institute in Phoenix Arizona was responsible for many famous projects and have people who worked on many famous movies including the Matrix movies. They have an amazing job placement program so that while you are taking classes, they are also preparing you for the real world and helping you obtain job interviews, internships, and help you prepare your art portfolio as well as resume. Even after you graduate and get a job, if you decide you want to switch careers later on, you can still go back to the school and they will aid you in finding a new job.

Arizona also has Devry and Collins college which are both decent art/graphic design schools. The best bet would simply be to contact your counselor and set up an appointment with him/her to talk about schools you can get into and can afford etc. Most schools like the Art Institute of Phoenix can cost 20 thousand a year.
