How can i get a job teaching english abroad?

i would like to teach people to speak english abroad, any guidelines, info on agencies and such would be very helpful

Alot of pay to volunteer programs offer the oppurtunity to teach english and will even train you.

All you have to do to get started is google any of the following:

ESL jobs
EFL jobs
ESOL jobs

You will get a wealth of websites. Having said that, most places require a 4 year degree and preferably in ESL or English, or a 4 year degree with TESOL certification. The only country where you might get a job with less is mainland China but the pay is poor. However, the experience is invaluable and the cultural learning is, too.

I have taught ESL in Hong Kong and Australia. But, I was qualified and had TESOL certification. Be very careful with signing contracts, if you get a job. It IS a contract and if you get there and don't like it, you are stuck. Be prepared to pay your airfare there and get reimbursed for it at the end of the teaching contract.

If you are not qualified to teach English, you probably will not get a job until you are qualified. Good luck to you.

Go to craigslist.org under teaching jobs, take a look. They are always listed there. Anyone can get one of the jobs.
