What is your opinion of outsourcing US jobs to foreign countries? There needs to be a balance. The need for the balance is because: 1. Americans need jobs. 2. Companies need to compete in the global market. The truth is that globalisation is a reality. It might not be favourable to all nations but it is a reality. So, it seems that in the globalized economy, the following is true: a) Developed nations are rich in skilled labour. b) Developing nations are rich in unskilled labour. So, as a person who lives in a developed country, you better get a good education - i.e. masters degree at a minimum. This will keep you relevant in the economy in the long term. In developing countries, some education is good but one can survive the simple jobs out there since there are plenty. Globalization is a bad trend for rich nations since jobs are constantly being exported but what pple in rich nations don't get is that for them, getting a high level of education is not an option. It is suicidal not to - especially for young pple. If you have a good education in a relevant field, you'll survive the out-sourcing. I wish out-sourcing was not a reality, but since it is, pple must prepare themselves. Unfortunately, no one is telling pple clearly in black-and-white what they need to do to stay afloat and neither are many speaking about the URGENCY with which young pple need to prepare themselves for a future in a globalized economy. For the older pple who are being affected by out-sourcing as we speak, it is tough. The best that they can do, if possible, is make ssome small invest and try to save as much as possible. Good as long as it's not my job. It's horrible Americans are steadily being laid off and companies should not be allowed to do this! Love always, Kortnei Being a worker in the US, I think it sucks.
