Hi, My wife and I want to move to San Diego. Can anyone tell us what jobs are in demand or needed there please |
We live in Canada but want to move to San Diego permanently. We went there for our honeymoon and fell in love with it. We have been researching for years now (we know it's expensive) and still are determined to live there but my wife is looking for what jobs/careers are needed or in demand now? Where can we go to find out this info? Any websites? My wife is a health care clerk right now but those kind of jobs are already probably filled and we are just looking for a direction to go in to survive and thrive there. We LOVE San Diego SO MUCH and we want to live there more than ANYthing! Any help would be appreciated, Thanx in advance. Hank and Stacey. Hi from France 鈾?br /> Check out : http://www.sandiegojobs.com http://www.sandiego.jobing.com http://www.jobs.net/california-sandiego.... http://www.careers.signonsandiego.com... http://www.sandiegocareers.com http://www.sandiego.craigslist.org... http://www.sandiegorecruiter.com... http://www.jobstar.org/sd/index.php... http://www.banking-finance.careerbuilder... http://www.sdjobsite.com Well, you know ? I know this city, my sister lived there for 15 years, now she is in Florida ! San Diego is beautiful !! So, I tell you '' Good Luck '' !! I love California ! Have a nice day, Cat. hey :) Check this site out.. they have daily job listing updates..in san diego area :) http://sandiego.craigslist.org/... Good Luck :) Sign on San diego is your best bet in looking. You probably wont have any trouble finding work there..Lived in San Diego for decades and miss it..We now live in Texas..My parents came from Canada Sask..They are residing in SanDiego and have been for 50 years...They wont think of moving. Realestate is expensive, but has come down a bit..so now is the time to buy if you can...my cousin comes down from Canada for about a month during the winter just to escape the cold..Its a great city with lots to do and opportunity..Good luck and your new adventure..... Health care clerk doesn't sound too bad. I'd think it wouldn't be too hard at all to pick up a job as long as you stay in the private sector (the competion for government jobs is going to be tough). The really high paying jobs (that San Diego is noted for) are in the Biotech industry, Computer programming & signal processing (as in wireless and cell phone communications). What is probably slumping is construction as our housing market is taking a bit of a dip. It is a large city with a broad economy though. Construction and real estate aside, I'm sure that if you are able to find a niche for yourself in Canada, you'll be able to do the same in San Diego. |
