Does anyone know of a list of all us army jobs? |

The book is huge. It has descriptions of each job, but it still isn't nearly enough info. The best thing to do if you're thinking of joining isn't to search the catalog. Its useless. Find out what you qualify for after you take the ASVAB. From there, the best jobs are in the medical field, intel, and legal. Supply and finance aren't horrible. Cooks and MPs have the highest alcoholism rates in the army for a reason. In MI, Imagery Analysts, Intel Analysts, Linguists, and Counter Intel are all good jobs. Satelites are good, too. So is Nuclear (unless you end up in one of those remote crazy bases behind lots of fences). Medical is never miserable in the field. They take all kinds of creature comforts. Just make sure you steer clear of anything with "combat" in the title. Make sure you pick something with future potential. Nursing will pay well as a civilian, whereas MI jobs won't unless you're in for a jillion years. MPs will help with a law enforcement career later, but you'll have to be an MP in the army... That takes intestinal fortitude. And, it isn't just the job. A lot of the time, its the place and the people you're with. And, no matter what job you've got, you may not spend much time doing it... The army is weird that way. |
