What city has the lowest cost of living, best year round weather and decent jobs in the US?

I've been in the bay area all my life. While I make decent money in tech sales, I have grown tired of the work, and there is no way I can afford housing, nor do I want to slave away to have a home here. I'd rather apply the mortgage interest to my own personal retirement fund, and enjoy life more through travel. I would like to live somewhere with warmer weather, lower cost of housing, decent jobs, lower taxes, etc.
Thank you for your suggestions!

Not sure you can get all 3..Doesn't ever seem to work that way
South Texas i would think
Houston isn't bad. Hot somedays in the Summer
California is out - housing costs.

The two best possibilities are the desert Southwest, like Tucson or Albuquerque, and the Southeast US. Research Triangle Park in North Carolina should have your kind of work. Or Atlanta.

There is nowhere with California's mild climate and ocean, jobs, and a low cost of living. Because too many people want the first two things and bid the price up.
Well, I live in the Southeast. The South is known for its low cost-of-living, as well as other, less flattering qualities. Please, let me be the first to tell you, most of it is completely untrue. I live at the far southern tip of Alabama, in the fastest growing county east of the Mississippi River and a few minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. Opportunities abound here, and there is phenomenal growth in every direction and area of business. If you're curious, research Baldwin and Mobile Counties. The cities of Mobile, AL and Pensacola, Fl are the nearest metropolitan areas. For what you probably pay to rent now, you could easily make a mortgage payment on a very nice house here. And no matter what you've seen on TV, I'm much more afraid of earthquakes than hurricanes ( I've been through 10, now). And yesterday, the high was 74. Tank top weather. I love it here, personally, and can't imagine anyone not thoroughly enjoying it.
Pensacola, Florida

We VERY rarely get snow, you can still pick up a bargin house if you don't mind a doing little TLC, southern folks are the BEST, and the beaches are awesome. Lots of jobs for ANYTHING in the medical fields. If you're looking for a change........
