How many jobs can u have in the US Army when u enlist? As many as you want. well...you will be a soldier first and foremost, that is what basic is about. then you go to AIT to learn your job. but inbetween you get extra duties, you will be a janitor, a lunch-lady (kp), guard, driver, mechanic, glorified babysitter, groundskeeper, personal alarmclock...you name it you will do it and more, you remember the old theme right "be all that you can be in the arrrmmyyyy" They will test you to find where your interests lie and to find your best aptitude. You will probably score well in several fields. From there, you decide what you want to do. I suggest you choose one that will best serve you after your time in the service. Qualified for the nuclear submarine corps. Didn't go in. My worst life-decison ever... You only ever have the one: warm body. 4 years+ I'm currently serving in the military and, while I have one primary MOS, I hold a host of additional duties including: janitor, groundskeeper, mechanic, admin clerk, parent, secretary, garbage person, etc. The only branch of service that offers guaranteed job selection is the Army. The other services take your choices, your ASVAB scores, and their current needs when assigning MOS'S. |
