How does giving Kobe Bryant and Tom Cruise a tax cut add jobs? This is what Bush is trying to tell us.? |
Rather than do something the regular people will benefit from,ie ct the gas tax, Bush argues that giving the wealthiest a tax cut will generate jobs. Like having 2 jobs to make ends meet isnt enough, I need 3? Please help me understand. I took economics and know the theory but lack the understanding how putting more money in the hands of peope that have all they need now is going to increase jobs. Maybe if the tax cut were limited to people making only less than 1 million a year there could be some job growth due to a possibility of more small business investment, but for those making over 1 million I see little true value to the economy as a whole. it's just part of his fuzzy math...what a hypocrite that guy is, huh? too bad someone can only be president for 8 years, otherwise he could completely finish the job of running America straight into the ground. But I give him credit for trying his hardest to do it within the 8 years allotted him. Bravo, lil Georgie. Dadda is proud of lil Georgie. Well, maybe you can get a job with Halliburton then your worries will be fewer. Hate to confuse you with the FACTS mr. economics, but as an example: A single parent of 2 making between $20K-$31K/yr gets a 41% tax cut. I think the bigger question is - Why did we need to give tax cuts to anybody in the first place. Do you know? Please enlighten us oh mighty economics wizard. How about the fact they were NEEDED to offset the 2, yes 2, largest tax INCREASES in american history signed by your hero - hillbilly clinton. Where do you think his "surplus" came from - monica? Where was you outcry when he was doing that? Or were you too busy protesting the fact that he had just passed the largest cut in social spending in history. Before you spread your biased and inane rhetoric, you might want to spread the pages of the congressional record and read a few details of what is REALLY happening to you and who is REALLY doing it to you. Modified 1 year ago Bush has no control over taxes. Why dont you find out who REALLY is trying to create this tax program and ask this question correctly. They won't keep that money, they will invest it. The point is that they will do a better job developing economic growth than the government would. The government will just give it away as welfare, how does that help the economy? Years ago, Bush made a statement when he was addressing a group of people. With that smirking chimp grin and that idiotic chuckle he said " some call you the haves and the have mores, I call you my base". He is giving the people who PAID a great deal of money to his campaign to help get him selected what he promised...tax cuts for the wealthy. Any day now, he has promised they will be permanent. This is now a plutocratic government. This means that it is a government in which the wealthy rule. Cant wait to get these guys out of office. First, why shouldn't they get tax cuts? They're already paying more total taxes and more as a percentage of their income than the rest of us. Their tax rate is higher than everybody else's? How fair is that? Second, who creates jobs? Where do people who start businesses or expand businesses get the money to do so? From minimum wage workers? Nope, they get it from investors - rich people. Since rich people don't just sit on their money, they put it to work, which means investing in businesses, which means more jobs, and more prosperity. Third, this class-warfare tax-the-rich-mercilessly crap is ugly. It is wrong-headed. And it counters every empirical economic evidence of successful economic policy. Excessive marginal tax rates on the wealthy have always harmed economies. It is not a policy born of logic or a desire for prosperity for all, but a policy of envy and shortsightedness. |
