Father of Child Owes Thousands To Us, and Wont Pay. Moved Out of State and Only Works Cash Jobs.In WIsconsin.? |
The father of my child took off on me shortly after conceiving the child, he lived in Wisconsin for a while and then moved to Minnesota. I know he has only had two non-cash jobs since two different times in 6 1/2 years, ive received checks for about 3 months for each period. How will this ever work? He owes me close to $9,000 and i know i wont see any of it EVER close to that amount paid back to me. How the heck am i suppose to get the money me and my child need and deserve. Wisconsin always sends him letters saying to find a job or else he'll be held in contempt, well they've been saying that for years and they have done nothing. WTF should and can i do? He only likes cash paying jobs cause he has another child in California and he didnt like paying suport for her either. Help... I wish I knew of something that could help you, I have been there and done that. The out of State and being paid under the table thing. I raised my three Children by myself without fathers money or help. He owes us over $20,000.00 the last time I checked 10 years ago. There were so many times that some extra money would of helped. But we made it, sometimes I think back how rough it was and I am amazed. You can only count on yourself. Day dreaming about what you could do with the money won't pay the bills. You can be thankful that you only have one child with him. The only thing that you can do is report it to the state the divorce is filed. The prosecutors office can look into it. There is very little that they can do about it. It is hard to prove income without an employer who takes out taxes in a check. It is also hard to prove income without a tax return. You are in a place so many women find themselves. I am truly sorry. Best of luck. go out and get a job and suport you and your child.. stop wasting your time looking for him it only cost you money.. some day they will catch up with him and put him in jail and you won't get the money then either. so grow up.. get a job , make your own money and move on with your life. It is that simple.. You see the big dollar sign here of what he owes you and yes we could all use that kind of money but if you wait for it you will always be short on money so do something for yourself.. get on with your life. you are lucky the dead beat doesn't get to see your child. sandy |
