When are the new college grad age kids going to realize that the US job market is a wasteland? |
that the multicultural, diversity, equal rights for everyone propaganda has all been a lineof bs to help facilitate the exodus of real jobs from America to lower wage countries..and the future in here is bleak..will after many years of hardship and anger open the eyes of the people.... my firm outsources almost all of our skilled colleg degree type labor because they will work for half of the cost to hire American..and the US government has been helping us to promote this... Work at Wal-Mart and McDonald's, like everybody else. No kidding. They better minor in a second language and be prepared to relocate overseas. The problem is two-fold.#1 is that when you went to school you thought erroneously that you would graduate and get a nice cushion job and life goes on.I'll concede to you that this is what colleges want you to think because if you really know what to do they wouldn't have a job, this is compounded by mediocre teachers that really don't teach but give you assigments for you to do and bring back so they can critique.Have you ever heard the saying "Those who can do,and those who can't teach"? Duh,why isn't the spanish teacher working for theU.N.? or where ever. Ok,here's what can help you and this is real world. You have and education that is yours forever.what have you learned that can be used in the real world? Go to an employment agency and talk to an EXPERIENCED person who has a lot of experience helping people like you, don't just let them hand you off to whomever is next.look for an agency that handles executives. If that doesn't work you must go to a community college and see the difference from the school you went to,these schools are REAL WORLD and remember most of your subjects are transferable so you can probably finish in a year.Don't be discouraged, your young and you have learned a valuable lesson Welcome to the school of hard knocks.GOOD-LUCK Most of us realize that the market sucks unless you're in finance, marketing, accounting, or engineering. |
