Is flight attendant a "hot job" in US?


Different country has different "hot jobs". I'm from Taiwan and the flight attendant job is always VERY HARD to get. We have only two international airlines company and girls always dream of being a F/A. It's like a beauty contest in the interview makes me confuse... US is more equal to wanted.

I would like to know is F/A a hot job in US too? If you think not, what are the general hot jobs in US? (doctor? teacher?...)
I know every job is equal just I would like to know US's people's general value on F/A job.

It's occasionally a very hot job.

But it's not romantic, not well-paid, and not high-status. It's like being a bartender in an insane asylum.

A "Hot Job" in US I'd say it's Stock Broker or famous actor/actress, singer, talk-show guest and such
