I bailed out of US Marines bootcamp 3 weeks b-4 graduating - Am I barred from Government Jobs ??? |
Would teaching be considered one of them?? Public Schools? Don't worry about having bailed - you will find a job no sweat !! Heck, people can even become president in this country, no matter how much dirt they have sticking to themselves and how much they lie.... surely, you will find a teaching job ! I don't see why you would be barred from anything,,,,, if you have the right to join,,, you should have the right to leave,,,,, Depends on the discharge you received.....dishonorable? You're toast. I hope so.You inlisted? whats your trouble. You just want to sit back and let the others do the work? are you too much of a coward to see it trough? I served my time and was damn proud .Many good men had to go trough the same thing. If you couldn't cut it in the service you have a rude awakening coming to you.Real life is hard to my Friend and there is only one way out.. now are you man enough to take what life has to offer.I doubt it your not man enough for anything COWARD Knowing what type disharge you were given would help. When you say you "bailed", does that mean you desserted? Like in A.W.O.L.? If your discharge was less than Honorable, you probably are limited in where you can find work, government or otherwise. Any business owner can refuse to hire you under these conditions and many will refuse based upon their own patriotism. It sounds a great deal like you were trying to blackmail the Marine Corps. You promised to do a job for them & you didn't do it. Life is not always fair, but life is what we make it. The Marine Corps IS a government job. So you walked away from one government job; I wouldn't expect to walk into another. US Navy Viet-Nam Vet You sound like Oscar, i'm suprised if it is you, but it depends on what you did, if you went awol, you will actually get arrested if you haven't served the time yet, and you won't get a government job cause of your article 15, but if you gave up, then no, you won't be barred |
