Mexicans say they work hard and do jobs we don't want to do? |
They all do construction, which is what a lot of us Americans have been doing all our lives.They don't work on the farms anymore,they come here and get good paying jobs in construction.Here in Raleigh NC they are driving new trucks and now you see Lopez Construction, or Juan's drywall and painting.They are driving down wages and taking jobs from us and yet they are illegal.They are ruining my life,and more are coming. Illegal immigration must be solved in order not to deprive the Americans of job opportunities. They do Bilingual jobs that monolinguals are not able to take. Yes they do work in construction, and yes there are plenty that work on farms. Yes, many have successfully saved their earnings and opened businesses. You have the ability to do the same if you choose. This nebulous "they" are not just people from Mexico--but whoever "they are", I certainly applaud them for their success in putting together a business. How about you? I think you need to have bigger dreams if you just want to do construction... Why not be the guy that draws up the plans? The architect, instead of the guy that takes a nail and a hammer? And why would I want to pay someone 100 dollars for the same job I can pay someone 20 dollars? Actually, I have mostly read from _Americans_ that illegal aliens do the jobs that we wouldn't. I personally believe that's BS. I cleaned houses in college and if I had to, I would work on a farm. You have to do what you have to do, in order to provide for yourself and your family. I am sorry to hear that - but I do wonder what can we do? There's really nothing you can do about legal immigrants from Mexico. If a Mexican comes to the U.S. legally, and starts his/her own business, so be it. They have every right to. And, Mexicans are not the only people with hispanic names. How do you know that they are illegal? Profiling based on name? Illegal aliens shouldn't be here at all. I don't care who they are, or where they're from. They need to leave. Period. Mexicans aren't ruining your life. companies and consumers who hire immigrants at lower wages for greater profits and/or lower prices are the ones that are to blame for the increase of "Mexicans" who are competing for the low skill, labor intensive jobs that Americans once did. a solution for you may be to go to college and obtain a degree to get a higher end job that no immigrant could take away from you!!!!! |
