How do I go about getting a job in the US Post Office.?

I WOULD LIKE TO GET A JOB IN THE US POST OFFICE RIGHT NOW I WILL TAKE WHATEVER GETS ME IN THE DOOR .I RESIDE IN GASTONIA NC

its a long process and wait many first get hired as temps for the holiday rush. so don't turn that idea down,see site below.
do not use one of those well get you a job at the post office ads in the newspaper.

I think you have to check with the Government Administrative Office... they're the ones that have all the Federal Jobs.
Go to your post office AND THE ALWAYS HAVE ALIST ON THE WALL OF JOBs available and what city and type of job. It will come with a number code. Write down all the codes that interest you, then get on computer, go to USPS.gov and look for link to jobs...put in your code, and do aplication takes less than 5 minutes. Then sit back and wait. May take about 4 months , but they will send you a test date, and examples of the test. OK? Dont ever pay for one of these test or go to one you find in the newspaper, it's not affiliated with them , although they act like they are.
