Applicants applying for US job openings must be authorized to work in theUnited Stateswhat kind of proof is it

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. What is the kind of proof are they asking for??

The PDF file on the web page below details the acceptable forms of identification for working in the United States.

Some forms of identification, such as a US Passport, are sufficient in and of themselves as proof of identity and authorization to work. Other cases require two documents, such as a state drivers license or ID card AND a social security card.

In the case of the PDF file attached, use ONE of the documents in List A, or ONE EACH of the documents in Lists B & C. Source(s): http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/f...
Your Social Security Card or permanent "Green Card"
Driver's License, State Photo ID, Birth Certificate, Soc Sec Card and #, all the usual easy to counterfeit stuff.
Social Security card, driver's license, state ID, military ID
The I-9 forms. There is a list of acceptable documents. Either alone or in combination.
I process the new hires at my job.
