Why wont the liberals just let us finish our job in Iraq the right way instead of always trying to interfere.? |
The reason we "lost" Vietnam was because it was so micro-managed from Washington that we never really had a chance to win in the first place. And now they are doing the same in Iraq. If we pull out of Iraq then alot of my friends have pretty much died for nothing. Leave the war plans to the Generals they know what they are doing. So if you truly support us troops just shut up and let us do our job. We dont want to come home before the job is done. The liberals thrive on pessimissm and hoplessness. If Evil-White-Male-Bush is leading our country to DOOM, then we "need" them to rescue us. After all, America deserved 9/11 for our attitude. America is weak. We should have involved the U.N., despite all those oil kickbacks. The Muslims are really innocent-its the Christian right that are monsters. I fully support our troops. I fully support their efforts in Iraq. I have the utmost respect for each and every person that volunteered to fight for his/her country. That does not mean I have to support the war. We did not lose Viet Nam because of micromanaging, we 'lost' because Viet Nam was a limited war and there was absolutely no possible way for either side to win or lose. Iraq is not necessarily the same situation, but it is evolving into that. It is not just liberals who oppose the war. Most of us want it to end BECAUSE we want the men and women of the Armed Forces to come home alive. Someday you may understand that this was a war based on American greed for power, and you will be ashamed to have fought for it, I am ashamed to be American, and the people who died for this, their blood is on our hands. The only way the 'job' will ever be done in iraq is if one of 2 things happens: 1.) Every single iraqi, iranian,syrian, palestinian, or othe rnationality of insurgent is killed simultaneously. of course, if we could somehow magically accomplish this, it would just turn more otherwise friendly middle easterners into insurgents. 2.) Every aspect of our military presense in iraq comes to an end. The iraqi people are insane. The insurgents are insane. No amount of urban warfare is going to make anyone in the region stop being insane. These people will not be happy until a sectarian islamic despotic regime is in control of iraq. Pretty iro9nic considering that Iraq used to be a secular country with nightclubs and discos. Regardless of whether or not we pull out of iraq, and regardless of whenever we leave, the american soldiers who died there will be dying for the same reason every american soldier has died since 1946 - for nothing. That cannot be changed. the soldiers who died in iraq before now died for nothing. the ones who die there tomorrow die for nothing. There is nothing we as a country, or our military, or the international community can do to change it. they are all dying for nothing. The one thing we CAN change is that we can STOP the number of WASTED american lives form increasing... and we do that by leaving those crazy bastard iraqis to fend for themselves, and we do that by not putting our troops in harms way for political or financial gain again in the future. Common Sense. what, until you torture rape and murder every person in iraq? your friends died for oil, get used to it What is the right way? Violence has steadily increased since we invaded Iraq. The government has no idea of what to do to win this war. It has become a civil war between 2 religious groups. When Bush invaded Iraq, the plan was to beat Saddam Hussein's army, depose him and get out within a 3 month time span. Well it is now almost 4 years later and people on both sides are still dieing. In WWII we had to field 2,000,000 soldiers to defeat Germany and it took 5 years to accomplish. We were fighting a uniformed army then. We are now fighting an unknown enemy. Short of killing everyone in Iraq, there is no way to win when you don't even know who the enemy is. |
