I am diploma civil and autocad so any jobs in us?

I am diploma civil and autocad so any jobs in us?

Of all the engineering companies that use engineering drawing software, AutoCad has the largest market share because it is the cheapest ... however it does not dominate the market place because there are many that are far superior to what auto cad does.

Thus, most any company that is in the business of engineering work, probably has some kind of drawing software, with approx 1/3 to 2/3 being auto cad, however just because that is what they use, does not neccessarily mean they have a current job opening.

There may be some kind of association for people who are proficient in auto cad ... it might pay for you to locate that & get active in that group, as one way to locate job openings.

Do you mean "civil engineering" when you say "civil."?

Due to increased security concerns in the wake of 9/11 I think that civil engineering may have become more difficult for non-US citizens to break into ... since civil engineering is the deseign of buildings, bridges & so forth.

Also, most civil engineers in USA need to be more than a high school diploma ... they need at a minimum a college degree, although a junior college or technical school may be sufficient some places.

Opportunities galore !!. Please visit job sites.

Let me first state that I work with business owners and train individuals in the use of Autodesk products for a living.

AutoCAD is just a program and not a skill that today will get you a job by itself. When I first started using AutoCAD in 1989 this wasn't the case, knowing AutoCAD meant you were on the cutting edge of technical knowledge. Unfortunately, today knowing AutoCAD (or some form of CAD program) is just expected, you'll be hired for your knowledge and skill in the Civil design field. In order to have an advantage over others (and in order to keep your job) you will need to greatly improve your knowledge of the English language. Drafting and design is all about design communication and if you don't have those skills then the rest of your skills will be fairly useless to an employer.
