Jobs for printers in Europe, US or Canada?

A friend of mine is a top notch printer with 20+ years of experience. He's just about to be made redundant. Are there any decent possibilities of work away from the UK in Europe, US, Canada or down under?

Once upon a time, printing was a big business.

Then along came computers with persona printers.

Where there still is a market for printers, although it is much smaller than it used to be.

Think mass production of something printed in bigger volume that someone with a PC is going to want to print.

* Newspapers
* Government Printing office
* Manuals
* Magazines
* Catalogs
* Phone Books

A lot of former printing business is also moving to the Quick Copy places ... there are franchises all over ... suppose someone wants a book or manual ... this can be delivered on CD Rom, which they take to locka Kwick Kopy & get 200 pages printed.

If your friend is willing to relocate to the armpit of the world, consider places that do not yet have good infrastructure connection to the Internet, because phone service no good, electricity no good ... there are places like that in the world such as in central Africa

Warning ... in addition to public utilities being no damn good, police protection is not what you used to, banking system is for the birds, lots of other problems
