Why do crazed left wing nut jobs on this site keep telling us to enlist and fight?

I served already 8 years in the US MArine Corps, Im too old and too decrepid now. I wonder if they even served at all.

I get that all the time. I even get hate e- mail from some of them like "What's your excuse, you X!@#$$%!!"?
Even when I tell them I broke my spine in two places 40 years ago some of them still have the audacity to challenge me. It's as if the libs want you to have no right to your political opinion.

I'm a gay quaker pacifist vegitarian whose had Lymes and Malaria. I can never join the military for each of those reasons or give blood because of the last two.

You're not too old.........they raised the age for enlistment.
If you support a war on a country that never harmed us, well, then you join up!
I would only fight in a war if we needed to protect ourselves. Iraq was never a threat.

Because if we don't they will never enlist. They are the "protected" we are the protectors. I served my time.

Because many of them just see things in black and white and don't see shades of gray. They also have no real arguments to stand on, so they have to resort to hatred and criticism. And I also doubt they have or would ever serve our great nation.

Because they never want to do anything themselves. They would rather force others to do it. For example, instead of helping the poor, they would rather force everyone to help the poor the way the left wing nut jobs want to help them, instead of letting me help them how I want to.

Because they have no interest in risking their lives to benefit this country, but obviously don't care if we do. Or they figure the more conservatives out there fighting, the less here to vote. LOL

Thank you for serving!!!!! I dont see alot of people requesting that more fight I see more people who dont understand freedom isnt free and are asking to bring the troops home. You did your job and a great one at that.

Just a catch phrase for them....when you run out of rants....guess that's why the military 3 to 1 republican. For the values of service to the country are more to the right and values to yourself are more left.... watch again as in each election the left will try to hamper or restrict the Military Vote like in 04, 06,08.

They feel that by belittling you, they score points against your point your trying to make. I too served my time in the service (US Navy) and find their post laughable at best, they have no clue of who you are. I applaud your service to our country.

Because they want us to die. They don't care about America, they want us to go out and die for it.

Those who have never had to go through BASIC or any number of years in the armed forces can rant freely, without appreciating what they have in civilian life...They didn't have to do the grunt work.

They are suggesting that able bodied young people not serving in the military who support the war in Iraq should show the courage of their convictions and enlist . Their comments are not addressed to old decrepit veterans.

Oorah Brother! Most of them didn't. And they sit back and criticize and castigate. They are sissies and they are talking about things that they are being fed. Sensational news sells. Nobody wants to hear about how the Iraqi people are happy we are there because we are the only ones that won't roll for a US dollar and let em get blown up. They want to tell you and me that its not true. I say sign em up and let em go see it for themselves! Thats not a criticizm on the left but to anybody who wants to quote the media and not realize they are selling ratings! And they'd rather quote sensational gossip than worry about the truth. Its an insatiable NEED for drama.

I served in the military too. Be careful who you call a sissy. Because of the anonymous nature of message boards it is hard to know who is who. Either ignore them or politely remind them of the fact that you have already served. I am sure they will understand. The big problem is so many chickenhawks are ready, willing, and able to send others off to war but will not put their money where their mouths are and go themselves. Dick Cheney, and Rush Limbaugh are two glaring examples of this. Both of those guys are too old now, obviously but they had their chance and didn't act accordingly as you and I did. Liberals wouldn't even fight to protect their own mother. So this is just their way of trying to redirect. That and they don't understand the reality that is the military. Really, a very small percentage of the population even qualifies for military service at any particular time. Furthermore, of those who are in the military..again, a very small percentage of the population...only about 15% of our military is even engaged in the war in Iraq and more than half of those are Air Force or Navy and will never set foot in a war zone even if they wanted to. Up until 2005 we had more soldiers in Germany than we did in Iraq and Afghanastan combined. So, again, even if you and I were of the age and condition, the probability of our being able to help is rather low.

Like you, I'm too old, but when I was 'of age', I did my best to make the Marine Corps a career but was medically discharged.

But in their narrow little mind, only those who at this point in time can fight for our country should support our country in time of war. Can't fight? You're not allowed to support the efforts of those who can. How twisted is that? "If you can't play football, don't go to the game OR root for the other team." It's kind of weird and twisted thinking, but then, such a thought process explains a lot as to how the liberal mind reaches it's conclusions.

I served in a war started by the Democrats, while a Democrat was in office so I guess it's only fair for me to expect Democrats to return the favor.

If the truth would be told, the liberals don't want to serve in the United States Military for any reason, They are just plain and simple Cowards that live off the Blood and Sweat of those who do serve our country. I don't know of one person that joined the Military for oil, they joined to serve our country because they have Honor and are Patriots. They are Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, Not Liberal Cowards.

A 68 year old MAN managed to come out of retirement and serve in iraq, so there goes your "I'm too old" excuse!
