Most of us get drug tested for our jobs. Why not welfare recipients?

Very true. I think this question is great. I have also been asking it for years and years, but never get an answer. They say it infringes on their civil liberties, but I don't see how. Don't I have civil liberties as well?

I would really rather not see my money to go pay for their drugs. I have to pass a drug test so why shouldn't they? It only makes sense to me.

Not a bad idea but it would surely increase the size of an already enormo gov't.

I don't know where you live but in California the welfare recipients ARE drug tested. My neighbor just went on welfare thanks to the Bush economy and they were complaining about having to have drug tests and TB tests etc.

That is an excellent idea. Seriously. That would sooo curb systematic abuse by the bottom-feeders that are exploiting it.

What would be the reason to drug test them? Getting a job is one thing and becoming a US citizen a complete other. I am trying to correlate your assimilation of the two????
