Job in the US?

I am a Chinese, i love animals and would like to get a job in the US zoo or wild animal rescue team there, do you think i could have a chance? what kind of qualifications i need to get the job? thanks a million!

at least a masters in zoology much better a PhD. Experience with zoo animals and working/volunteering in a zoo. Experience with breeding rare animals would be one area you could specialize in (e.g. excellent knowledge of reproductive hormones, in vitro fertilization techniques). Or being a veterinarian who specializes in exotic animals.
In order to work in the US you need to get a job offer from a zoo in the US. I think the chances are slim, as there are more people who want to work in zoos, then there are jobs. It would be much easier to find a job at an university doing research. You could go for ecology there, which could give you the option of studying wild animals.

If you want to work directly with the animals you probably want a degree in zoology... most likely a bachelors at the very least with the possibility of having to do a year or so worth of unpaid internship. These jobs are also pretty competitive and there are few openings in big zoos.

Start sending emails to zoos. They will know what they want in a candidate better than us here on Yahoo! Answers will (unless some of us work in HR at a zoo)
