Why didn't God make a better job of us?

If he's omnipotent and if he created us in his image, why do you suppose he made us so lowly and fallible? Why didn't he create a race of little gods who would've been company for him? Is it that he didn't want the competition or do we have to be flawed because we're just intended as his playthings?

When we were kids, my brother used to spend ages setting up his little armies of toy soldiers just so, only for him to deliberately knock them all down again. Some he 'killed off' one by one, others he killed en masse. Often when I hear of thousands being killed in an earthquake or a tsunami, I think God is being like my brother, killing us off like we're toy soldiers for his own amusement.

Seems a strange way to treat his "children" that he "loves" doesn't it?

We are not God's playthings or puppets. We are His children.

And maybe what you consider flawed and lowly, God considers perfect. Maybe in our own way, since we are made in His image, we are called to become "little gods" by sharing His divinity. Maybe we wouldn't be so fallible if we chose to love one another more than we do.

um...WHAT!?

We have been called little gods in the book of Psalms. We have the choice to choose how we behave. If we made all the right choices we would be like Him in all ways. The prblem lies with us not Him. He loves us and demostrated that on the cross.

God made us in His spiritual image not physical. We are company for God. He observes us doing the very thing He does. We create. God receives immense pleasure knowing man appreciates all that He has done for us.

Free will is the greatest gift of love. Would you rather be a robot?

Can you ask your parents the same thing?
Why wasn't I born better?

Besides, He does have angels. We cannot be His playthings or He would be here more often.

We were created in His image, that's all. Who knows why, He just did.

Get A Grip

We make our own decisions God does not make us do things. I have made plenty of mistakes but Blaming God is just a cop out. and refusal to accept we did something wrong or daft. Do you thank him when all goes well or just blame him when all goes wrong.

we are not puppets or children, he made us perfect (according to the bible) but eve was made from man so technically god did not create her. then she took adam down with her with the angering of the god, bla bla and the apple and the banishment from eden.....

However in Christianity it says they were created and they were forbidden from knowledge.

Islam says the opposite. Investigate Islam and learn.
