Have you been fired from jobs? Did you deserve it?

Are you good at the job you have now?

Most interesting job: Pastor

Most fun job: Lifeguard - back when I was 19 years old

First job as a contractor: Cutting the grass for the lady next door and or shoveling her sidewalk in the winter.

Second job as a contractor: Washing dishes for 500 ladies who had a luncheon at my Lutheran church. They had real china plates and a commericial dishwasher. At age 14 and 15 I'd do this once or twice a month after school.

First real job with a paycheck: Delivered drugs.

Most unfavorite job: Washing dishes on board ship, called being a "Mess Cook", the Navy's version of KP.

Pastor Art

Doing housekeeping in Yosemite in the SNOW and hail! We had to push carts up hills and all around outside in the snow and sleet and hail, and it was miserable-- trying to keep the clean sheets from getting wet. I hope they have a better system now! That was like 12 years ago! But I loved living in Yosemite....so it was worth it to HIKE on my days off! hehe

OH and about a job interview- haha yes I have one- I went for an interview at age 18 at a coffee house, and I didnt really want the job but felt I had to go to the interview and do "something" because I needed work. So I told the person interviewing me how much I hated coffee...hahahaha-- I never got the job of course.

I worked for a family owned business in Sugar land called Cosentino. They sold countertops. Everyone knew the owners sister was a nightmare to interact and work with. Even OUTSIDE customers. Her job was to make your job a living nightmare!

My first job when I was 16 was working at the concession stand in a theatre. That was fun because the building had tunnels everywhere plus under the seats. I could go to the auditorium after the movie and find money. I even got to go up into the projector room when it was still reel to reel. If a film broke they used clear fingernail polish and a clamp to hold it together until it dried.

My best job was being an office nurse for 30 years working in an outpatient clinic.

Worst job was as a crosswalk guard when I lived in Texas 34 years ago. I just plain didn't enjoy it.
