How difficult are truck driving jobs to obtain in the UK? |
Being from the US,would it be difficult to obtain employment in the transportation field in England? easy as long as you have your hgv licence and don't have any endorsments good luck x Assuming you are in the UK legally, then you need to pass the UK driving test for HGV (Heavy Goods Vehicles), plus a simple medical exam. [NB HGV courses are available, over few days, to get you used to the test conditions, etc..] After that, look for job ads in newspapers, or go to your nearest Job Centre and ask about vacancies. Maybe you could start with Light Goods Vehicles (short distance deliveries, usually), which would get you used to the road conditions and geography of the UK, as well as giving you something to put on your CV.
