UK based question..... Do people still take pride in their jobs or is it?

just something for them to do for the money

NO, the government has turned society into a Nanny state. thus, we're all told what to do or we're told off i.e. fined. How can one enjoy there job if they're not allowed to think for themselves, there's no pride in that so all that's left is the money.
I dont think people do. If you go to most shops etc people just dont care.
im training to be a diagnostic radiographer, im proud of that
i like turning out a good job,,
I really really try, but the way things work are so crap cos nobody else gives a **** from the top down really gets me down and its hard not to let it rub off on me. It feels like a waste of time. Never work for a county council if you actually give a crap bout your job. Or any other govt organisation for that matter.
i am a nursery nurse and proud that im caring enough to look after 1 year olds and provide love and stability to someone elses child/children. i think it takes someone special to do this.
I do!
