I would like to seek a hotel job in UK, is that possible for Chinese people from Malaysia?

I've worked in Sales Department in 5 star hotel in Malaysia handling wedding, meeting, conference for about 3years. I am a young chinese girl and I like hotel's job very much and I would like to seek a job in UK to gain more knowledge and work experience. So far as I know Sector Based Scheme (SBS) by UK Government in the hospitality sector ended in the summer of 2005 and only left food processing sector ie: cut meat, fish and mushroom picking, which is not matching my criteria. I wish I can come to UK one day to work legally in hotel. Is that possible? I did send my CV to few of the hotel in UK and the replied is I must proof with my identity l can stay and work in UK and employer must sponsor me a work permit before I come to UK but the problem is I don't know people in UK and they don't know my ability, how employer want to hire me. I would appreciate if you could help on this and give your best suggestion. Thank you.

why not try on the internet to find a job even if it is not in a nice hotel ? if you really wish to go to the UK ?
as far as the US ? you would have to find a sponsor to get over there and work .......
