Can you get a job in Uk without a red passport or years of work experience?

I am a indian graduate who has completed an Msc in mechanical engineering from london. I am desperately hunting for jobs here with no luck. They either want an unrestricted stay ( work permits) or years and years of experience which i dont have. is there any way i can extend my stay here or get a full time job in my field , cos i m tired of doin part-time at McDonalds.

Well.You can try for Science and Engineering Graduate Scheme (SEGS) to extend your visa in the UK for 1 year after your studies. Home Office introduced this scheme in 2004 to encourage international students who has successfully completed their post graduate study in the UK to pursue a career here. Once you qualify for the SEGS, you dont have any restrictions for working in the UK and can pursue any job in the UK. At the end of the SEGS period you have to prove yourself worthy of staying in the UK after that by applying for a Highly Skilled Migrant Programme (HSMP) with the required points. Would you not be able to live in luxury in India? I welcome everyone to the UK Im just never sure why people want to come here. The streets most certainly arent paved with gold when you have to pay a small fortune just to get on a bus.

I immigrated to the US and there are more opportunities here. However, I think that people who immigrate are victims of false publicity of the west. It is good to try new things anyway. Good luck
Go back to India, there are more job opportunities there. All the engineering jobs in the UK are going to Mumbai or Bangalore.
Come to the US. We always need good engineers.
