Do salaries published in UK job advertisements include tax or not?


Might be a silly question, but I'd like to know if British job ads publish salaries including tax, or they usually publish the amount of money you get.

They would publish the gross amount, tax would be deducted to the net amount. Source(s): Experience
I would guess no. They publish what they'll pay you, and they can't predict what taxes will be withheld, nor would they try.
