Visit from customer compliance officer----from UK job centre.?

I have now been unemployed for 4 months.
(Making every effort to obtain new work lots of interviews)

Job centre sent for me last week to review my job finding status
no complaints there.

Have now recieved a letter from employment/pensions department for a home visit to review our claim, should i have any worries?

Only claiming what we are entitled to claim and trying hard to get a new job.

I have a wife and four year old child.

this is common practice and if your not doing anything dodgy then dont worry about it !

If that's true, you've got nothing to worry about. If you've got any paperwork to help prove it, it will keep your compliance officer amused.

Make sure your wife & child don't go out for the day.
shouldn't worry if you are actively seeking work and just have not been lucky enough to get a job yet.
They may be going to look into what you are claiming and if you are entitled to any further help.

never heard of home visits before.
best thing to do is act the same as if your apointment was at the DWP office
have all your paper work to hand,
evidence of your jobseeker activities
and any evidence of your right to claim (P45, Dissmssal notice from previous employer etc)
also have a contact for your last employer in case they need to check
keep your cool, if you do anything that may offend, they will hit you hard for spite
and be honest with them dont try to hide anything
As long you or ur wife are not working on the fiddle, you should have no worries.

I Imagine that you must be receipt of Income-Support, as you'r claiming Jobseekers, and r married with a child.

If they r reviewing you'r claim, and they go through every detail (e.g. Ask you if yo've done no work in say the last 2 years.) IF YOU HAVE BEEN on the fiddle latley, they could be trying 2 catch you out.

My mate have worked for social security (As it was once known, lol) For 30yrs, and he says a lot of staff as 2 get off there backside now, and get out 2 see people. All 2 do with politics he says.

And as the others said, show paperwork as proof.
