I have got job in Bristol UK monthly salary of 2300 pounds. How much can I save ( best case and worst case ) ? |
More interested in average cost of living in UK assuming one bed room apartment and mediocre life style. I would like to know how much can I save per month i.e. what is the minimum amount of money that is needed to be spent per month for rent, food, daily life, etc. ? Ok.I use to live in East London and I can help you.First of all,you need to look for areas in London where accomodation is cheap.Since you are new there,You need to look at East London; Surrey,Greenwhich and Illford. You can also get a cheap accomodation in North London around Highbury. Transportation In London is the best in the World. With 100 pounds Underground pass, you can take the train, bus,Tram and even cross the Thames for one month, that is if you reside within zone 3. You can spend about 250 to 300 on food for two excluding eating out.You can get a one bedroom for 250-350 Pounds a month. You can also get a two bedroom for 400-900 depending on how luxury matters to you. Remember that your first place of stay my not be where you will be in Six months.I advice you get a short lease, you may get a better place once you start working and interacting with colleagues. But since you will be going to Bristol, you may need to budget around 600-700 for rent and around 400 for groceries. If you live within your means, you can save about 1,000 a month. You can call me on;(813)728-9276 if you need further assistance.London is a great palce to live and work.Good luck well if it were me i could save 拢1500 of that a month. I manage just fine right now off just over 拢800 a month. well, worst case is zero....anyone want to do the best case side (I got the easy 2 point) I would say that if you allowed 拢25 for gas, 拢25 for electric, 拢15 for water, 拢450 for rent, 拢90 for council tax, 拢300 for food, 拢100 for transport and 拢200 to enjoy yourselves with, you should be able to save about 拢1000 a month. Not sure how accurate though because rent is really unpredictable, plus you didn't say if you had any travelling or special requirements. Good luck, wish my job paid that much. xx |
