Help My fiancee is about to get P.R. but? |
My fiancee Rosa is Filippino, she is about to P.R. in Nov and we are getting married at the end of this year everything seems fine. We want to move to Austraila in mid of next year but the problem is if we do not like it over there and decide to come back does Rosa have to start at day 1 again or will the goverment let her take off where she left off. She is also worried that she might not get back into the UK again but she has a high demand job and she would be my wife married here. Or is it better to wait 1 more year until she has a British passport of her own. The way I see it is, we would have 1 year less to wait in Oz before we got P.R. there. But I am British, I am biast I take it that Rosa is in the UK on HSMP, and about to get Indefinite Leave to Remain. ILR would be lost after two years' absence; and a claim for UK citizenship requires that the applicant be in the UK legally for five years (three years if married to a UK citizen, that the last year be with ILR, AND that they be outside the UK for no more than 90 days in the last year, and 450 days in the five years (270 days if three years apply). immigration is tricky and at this present time he law may not be on her side considering the current events. Is there anyway you guys could get married sooner? Hell, if you can't get back into the UK, just go to Mexico and sneak into the good old USA! We've got millions of illegals here already, so what would a couple more matter! You could get a job with a lawn service, and you could have a couple of kids with your new bride. Then you can get on the WIC program for free milk, and get an old Chevy to tool around in. Believe me, its a great life! Happy travels, and see you in Chitown soon! |
