I am a US Citizen who is in Germany on a travel visa (I have been here for 60 of the 90 days) and want to stay |
I wand to stay in Germany. I know I would have to 1-get a job or 2-get married 3-take an intensive German language class None of these options are possible for me. Does anyone know what I can do? Could I leave the country and go to a non EU country like Switzerland? If so, how would I get a new stamp on my passport? no, you have to return to the US, and then go back!!! i just seen yesterday a add for ppl teaching English in Frankfurt...check it out... also go to the US embassy at get a hardship extension, but you need a good reason!!! why would you want to leave america? I don't get it hmmmmmmmmm why or why not? i wuz kinda thinkin of visiting Ireland has the better beer though what kind of food in Ireland I wonder, oh well, Guinness, why would I care? well, you must have Internet accessibility so what you would do is look up the name of the place you got your pass port from and click on pass port info and see how to extend... they have us embassies in foreign countries so there is one around. find it and go to it.. they can extend it there you go to the German embassy ther in germany and get a new visa, or you can also go to switzerland and get the german visa from the german embassy in switzerland. http://www.germany.info/relaunch/info/co... My visa has been issued by the German Consulate, could I use this visa to make a sidetrip to other European countries (for example to France or Austria)? Yes , you can. According to the Schengen agreement, visas are also valid for Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden. Please note, however, that you always have to apply at the consulate of the country which is your primary destination. If you intend to visit several of the above-mentioned countries but do not have a primary destination, you should apply at the consulate of the country which is your first point of entry. |
