Does anyone else think work is a waste of our life time?

I am so bored by work, and its not just my job, its just work in general, having to give up 47 weeks of the year to going into the office and doing boring work which lets face it is no fun whatsoever.

I look out of the window at work and think I could be anywhere in the world right now, Switzerland, Rome, Barcelona, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, etc doing anything I like, but instead I am stuck behind the same old desk bored senseless. But like I say, I have had many jobs but I still find it so boring, I just watch the clock all day wishing for home time, I am never bored when away from work.

Its a waste of our lifes, we have to work to cover the cost of living. And then I read that we will have to work longer in life because of the crisis of pensions, it seems ridiculous, you get one life in the endless billions of years that the universe lasts, life should be one big party, a celebration, not bored senseless at work all year round. I wish I could become rich and live life properly!

indeed it is, when you stop to consider that most of it is unnecessary work too you realise the madness of the whole scheme.

A recent survey showed that 60% of UK workers feel their work is of no use to society. Look around and be aware of the pointlessness of most work.

Yep it sucks, we have to work to survive.
Would we rather be living from the earth? Farming at the break of dawn, digging your own wells, killing your own dinners, building your shelter from raw materials. It is an actual option, but either way, we work.

We have to work to survive, we have it easy right now. If we had to live off the land you would be working 12-14 hour days :)

Besides, what would you be doing if you didn't have to work? What do you think people in Switzerland, Rome, Barcelona, Australia, Japan and Hong Kong do? They work just the same as we do!

Either get used to your job, get a more enjoyable job or become a chav and live off the state.

we obviously weren't meant to do it since we don't like it. that'd be cool if we could just sit around eating and having sex all day, but there's always a catch. with that fantasy everybody would be fat...and where would we get the food from in the first place? eh...damn it.

I think work is created not just for us to earn a living but to build our confidence as well , or to give ourselves something to do . Imagine, if you are rich and plenty of money , of course , you could travel anywhere in the world , but after that , you would still find another thing to do because , you are already bored in what you are doing . Humans are very weak even if we are poor or rich I think we still has the same frustrations , boredom thoughts, etc.....If you are rich you should have to try harder to maintain your liable assets , not to go bankrupt . If you are poor you still have to try harder to earn money .....Anyways ...we have truly the same ending ...but still we have to continue living , to reach the goal .. weather it is a success or failure .

then whats the purpose of life without work?
without it then we'd be like cats.. we eat drink and sleep!
(even though it does suck sometimes.. lol)
