When's the best time of yr to go travelling?

I've just come into some money, my job sucks, and I'm single. But it's going to be August, thanks to my notice period etc that I will get away. So should I postpone my round the world trip till next May? I'm going to be looking for a travel companion so I guess that will take time. But is August a good time to begin a 3 month round the world tour or should I wait til next year?

Btw i'm going to Switzerland, Japan, Australia, California and Toronto.

The best answer to give is to check the tourist info on these countries.

Personally , I think the perfect time is Late August /early September.

The seasons maybe different in other countries.

In my opinion there are several times of year to travel ...... basically each school term.

That way screaming kids aren't annoying me when I want to relax somewhere exotic.

I'd say go as soon as possible. You never know when the world will end or something you want to see will get blown up. Carpe Diem and have fun!

i'd wait until next fall- the ticket prices will be cheaper.

If you are going to Europe and don't want to see that many turist, you should travel in late winter. I went to Germany during March and it was nice, the weather was good and I didn't see that many turist around. If you are going to a tropical place, always go during summer to avoid rains, this would ruin your vacation.

Fall- late Sept.,Oct. early Nov.

I am a international travel agent and August is still high season. If you can wait until September the fares will go down. It doesn't matter if its this year or next, the fares are high in the summer time. The sooner you purchase your ticket you will be guaranteed a seat for a lower fare. Tickets are already selling out for August travel!

I say wait until after winter because the worst is to be stuck in a cold place when its really cold outside. Summer is waaay to crowded- There's no one you can walk through Japan in the summer. There's no room for air!
