Need English to Latin translation?

I am building a hymn board that will hang in a church in Geneva Switzerland. A plaque on the back of the board will contain a dedication, and I would also like to add an appropriate Latin phrase. In English, the phrase is:

"We lift up our voices to God"

Translation to Latin using a common website:

"Nos levo nostrum vox vocis ut Deus"

My question is: Did the website do a proper job, or can a latin linguist provide a more grammatically accurate translation? Any latin liguists out there?

voces nostras elevamus ad Deum.

I have based my translation here on a quotation from Thomas Aquinas.

The translation sites are really only useful for a fluent speaker, in part because Latin changes its endings, and in part because the synonyms that the translation sites choose are just not the right one. If you try to translate "I can go," it might translate can as "metal container" if you follow where I am trying to go with that...

vox vocis are the first two forms in the dictionary entry for voice, but you need voces for your sentence, and certainly not both words.

Deus is a word for God, and figures prominently in Genesis and other passages of scripture; but quite often, ecclesiastical Latin uses Dominus for God.

General Latin translation advises that you can say nos, but personal pronouns are rarely used in Latin, and confer special emphasis on the pronoun. The normal "weight" of the pronoun is already carried in the ending I put on the verb (mus.) Again, I figure Thomas Aquinas knew what he was doing. :)

ut should not be used in this sentence at all.

If you want to use the verb levo, you must use the form levamus. I chose elevamus, from the Latin mass.

Good luck with your hymn board.

All I can say is good luck. I wanted a simple phrase translated and got about 5 different answers. I think your best bet is to call a university that still teaches Latin.

MACHINES CAN'T TRANSLATE INTO LATIN!
They can't cope with anything more difficult than English, the many morphemes and the syntax of Latin are way beyond them.
This is utter crap.

"Atollimus voces nostras ad Deum"

no i want japanese to english translation.

I'm pretty sure it's right. I used 2 translation websites and I've taken two years of latin.
