How is living in new zealand compaired to america? |
which do u think is better and why? also, what are price comparisons on things like housing & fruit, job oppertunities, etc. thankx Compared to USA, New Zealand is better. It's a beautiful, peaceful and friendly country. Price-wise, a little more expensive, housing is just the same but job opportunities are tight, especially for the unskilled. You should look at Aussie for a move. as long as you have a sheep to exchange for food. America has more opportunities and New Zealand is unique and amazing. The price of living is lower in New Zealand, even though some things (i.e. US imports) are a lot more expensive. It depends where you are buying a house; if you are looking for something in the city with nice views it will be a lot, if you choose a more rural area (you can still get nice views!!) then you can find a cheaper place- as with anywhere. Gas is really expensive there, but fruit is always available, most people have a fruit tree in their yard, or their neighbor's yard. There are a lot of jobs for skilled people, teachers, doctors etc, otherwise unemploment is pretty low so it can be difficult to find work. America is just america, it's big and busy in comparison, but also has its charms, and the likes of WalMart (which you will not find in NZ). Lived in both countries. There is no comparison. They might as well be on different planets. It will depend on your personal tastes and background as to whether you prefer one or the other. NZ is cheaper, the shopping is nice, the people are wonderful. Some imports are expensive, but they do have K-MART !!! I love both, lived in both !!! |
