Spanish people in New Zealand?

I'm Spanish and from May this year I will start my new life in NZ with my kiwi fiancee. I am curious to know about other Spanish or South American people in NZ and their occupations... whats your job like? Cheers

Hola,

I do not speak spanish, but I know a few people from South America here in Auckland. One of my colleagues is from Argentina another from Chile. The Chilean colleague also has flatmates from Argentina.
1 week ago was an International culture festival in Auckland, with immigrants from all over the world. I've seen Chile, El Salvador, Columbia and SPAIN. The paella was the best I have ever eaten outside of spain (and catalunia) and I would rate it as the best of all Paellas I ever had.
The organisers might be able to provide the contact address of the spanish organisation to you.
Look at the pictures at http://www.hereiam.de/nz/wnz37/index.htm... to convince yourself and to spot Spanish, Chilean and El Salvador ppl.
I bet you will love the life in New Zealand. It is a fantastic country.

I work in IT, so do my colleagues (of course). Everyone agrees, that working in New Zealand is much more relaxed than in Europe. But we so not have a long siesta :o)
I've seen South Americans in all kinds of jobs here, barber, cafe-staff (Barista), chef, diving instructor ...
Hola.
My cousin lived in Australia and New Zealand for about 5 years. He is a "darker" Mexican from LA. He is Tall, dark and very handsome. Unfortunately he was looked upon as a Native. And was treated rather rudely. I guess there is a separation of whites and darks there... anyways he left..married a beautiful Blue-eyed Asian Woman and lives a genteel life in San Fernando Valley, A suburb of LA. I don't think he will ever go back to Aust.or NZ.
Hola, soy venezolano y me voy a Melbourne, pero en Australia en Junio.
Hola compadre, I was born in Paraguay, and I'm a professor of design here. It's lovely, Kiwi students have big brains and equally big hands, they can really make stuff happen. Congratulations on your new life, I'm enjoying mine big time.
