Does anybody know if there are many jobs for cash in new zealand? |
i am travelling there for eight months and would like to do a small bit of work There are numerous placement agencies here in NZ and they will help you find work. Cash in hand work is a worldwide thing buddy. i have heard that they are always looking for people to help them put fencing up and they pay in cash. maybe at the corner =] Isnt it easier just to get a working holiday visa? Then you would be legit and above board and not exploited You will be safer getting a visa /work permit. If you get caught working cash in hand you don't want to be booted out. You can do fruit picking or bar work maybe. Go to the local agencies they are very helpful. Enjoy NZ!! fruit picking in Hawkes Bay (Napier area), market gardens in South Auckland, dish washing in most areas, working on farms in most areas. The best way to find jobs is going into the hostels and looking at the notice boards. They have heaps of information about travelling around and finding jobs. Fruit picking/harvesting work is readily available all year round. If you only have a tourist visa you can buy a permit from the employer for about 60 bucks, 20 quid. Best to stay above board. Although I strongly reccommend a working holiday visa if you are eligible. |
