Hi, i'm thinking of going to live in Italy, would anyboby know the welfare entitlements and also how i would

go about doing applying for this until i get a job. thank you

Most countries are not as generous as the U.S. when it comes to letting immigrants suck on the government teat getting free healthcare, free housing, free food stamps and free education. I would doubt that Italy would want you if you need assistance. Most countries (with the exception fo the U.S.) only want educated skilled workers such as doctors and nurses. They already have enough of the Walmart caliber workers. They aren't looking for any to suck government services.

Why don't you work for a living instead of living on welfare?? I bet your beaner.

Here's a site that might help you, a forum of expatriates living in Italy:

Why get a job if you can get the hand outs. If it is naything like this country, you should be able to get by with having society carry your butt for years

Gerard.. You got no chance..As a North American, you can't emigrate to Italy without having a job or a career already in place. The countries in the EU are being inundated already with people looking for work. These people are mostly from the newly joined EU countries, like Romania and Bulgaria. They also have a huge population of illegals that they are trying to deal with as well. If you want to see the world, travel cheaply, then work under the table. As a North American, you are only allowed a 3month stay in any 6month period. It is possible to be here without a visa but you will be working illegally.

If you are not a citizen or legal resident of Italy ( or most any European country) you are 100% on your own. Most countries will not let you stay if you have no funds, deportation is the order.

You're only entitled to working for a living!
