Is ireland becoming racist against its own irish people?

in my job my supervisor will give out to us irish staff but he wont say anything to any of the other nationalitys there if there standing talking or if there asked to do some thing and they say no he gets an irish person to do it but if one of us irish say no he tells us we dont have ajob also two chinese in my job who have an irish kid who has been brought back to china at 3 months old and she is now 3 years old how was her mother and father who were chinese able to get a mortgage from an irish bank when i am irish lived here all my life and my husband is chinese and we have lots of money in the bank but when we applied for a mortgage we were told we have to wait when that chinese couple found out after 2 weeks we have been waiting a month or more now i am not a racist person my husband is chinese i think ireland has become very racist towards its own people

Its just that in Ireland the mixed culture is fairly new, people are terrified of being accused of being racist, so instead of treating these new people the same as the rest of use we tend to act as if we need to be extra careful of what we say. For example, I knew a guy in cabra who hired a guy from Poland. The guy from Poland got angry with another employee and pulled a knife to his throat. Now instead of firing him like what should have been done, the guy gave him a second chance because he was afraid of offending the foreigner! Its ridiculous but I think soon Ireland will get used to the growing mixed culture and everyone will be soon treated with equal rights. As for the Irish becoming racist against its own people, I don't think so. We just get all the hits like you say, when really we don't deserve them. I guess the employers, because they are Irish are less fearful of what they say to Irish people as it won't be seen as racist.
ireland has always been split, and that is religious...
Its true. I blame the dargs. The dargs the dargs the dargs. Feck
it sounds like it is nothing to do with racism, but about peoples personal situations, you can't presume to know why these people were seen to before you. god, talk about paranoid and jumping the gun, and generally those people who repeat themselves saying "I'm not being racist" generally are and realise this cos you wouldn't keep saying it otherwise. duh!

just because you are married to a foreigner, doesn't mean you are not capable of being racist and what has your family got to do with your added comment?

you know what, you shouldn't complain or try to justify your opinion just because not everyone agrees with you, now if i answered just insulting you, then fair enough, but i gave you my honest opinion, you shouldn't be so sensitive.
If they`re accepting Chinese and Irish marriages in Ireland today I don`t think your in a racist country,America is still having trouble with black white unions in a covert way,my mother was Green my Father Orange and boy did they have a hell of a time with the families,I just don`t think it`s a racist issue your dealing with here. What about background checks?
You are quite right. Ireland, and especially the institutions like the banks, building societies, mortgage lenders and departments of the government (like Health Service, Social Welfare, Community and Family Affairs etc.) are now heavily biased against their own native people. Foreigners, and especially if their skin is black, get anything and everything, while local people who have lived there all their life are treated shabbily.
The reason is simple: Those newcomers are very bold and they make demands (often way beyond reason), and the people in the offices are very anxious and afraid to be accused of "racism" if they don't give them the life of Reilly. It's really ridiculous, but that is the current situation.
If the native Irish people would not be so docile, lazy and ignorant of their environment and current affairs, they would stand up and protest against this discrimination. They would complain to their TDs, Senators and Concillors, as well as to the civil servants in the public offices. And before long things would change.
But since there are no voices heard from the Irish, no action is taken by the government. Stand up and be counted!
To be honest the whole of the UK has become discrimatory against the indigenous people and that why they will lose the vote. So you know who not to vote for! It's a blatent disgrace. Given we paid for the infrastructures not these parasites that sweep the land like locusts.
