What was the rate of inflation...?

...in Ireland for the years '04, '05 and '06? Is there an average figure calculated at the end of every year?
The reason I'm asking is because a friend of my mother split up with her husband in '03, with whom she has 4 kids, and as part of their child maintenance agreement, the amount she receives from him has to rise with inflation. However, its still the same amount agreed to 3 years ago.
She is finding it hard to manage on what she has now. She works part time, but cant get a full time job as she cant afford a child minder. Her ex husband was, and still is, quite mean with money, and she had a hard time getting what she has now. This woman is by no means a gold digger, trying to get every penny she can, in fact if she was, her ex would probably be paying twice what he is now as he is extremely well off.

In regard to the rate of inflation, would there be much difference to what she has now, or should she just forget it and not risk the inevitable blowup her request will cause?

2006: 5.17%
