If you move from America to Ireland, and you're not a citizen, what kind of jobs can you pursue? |
My family would really like to move somewhere in Ireland, but we're not entirely sure on what kind of jobs we would be able to get. Any suggestions? Wow...times have definately changed. People immigrating to Ireland. Amazing. Dell Computers has a large plant there. Work at a Pub! You need a job first or you won't get an employment based visa to move there. You can visit without a visa but you can't just turn up and expect to be allowed to stay, Boxer You have to think hard on moving here as our economy is on its way out the government have to borrow over 1.5 billion just to make up the short fall in taxes from this yr. Companys are pulling out of Ireland and moveing to Asia, House prices are twice as expencive as America, More foriegn people are finding it hard to get excepted into society. Foriegn people looking for work have to compete with Brazilians Chinese polish and many more that are willing to work for a low wage. 33% of welfare are payed to non nationals that have come looking for work just to find out that its hard to get any. Our newish laws say you have to work and pay taxes for a full 2 yrs before you qualify for welfare. Many laws have changed in recent yrs you have to make sure that you have plenty of cash before you come as its expencive here , 5 or 6 euro a pint if your lucky. Rent 1 bedroom flat 160 euro a wk and thats cheap, go 2 miles in a cab and thats 7 euro. this country rips everyone off as we all know we have to make as much cash while its there which it wont be in 5 yrs time. A quarter of all house buyers are losing their homes as they are unable to keep up payments. |
