Im being made redundant next month been in job 9 years what are my redundancy rights in ireland?

Since you've been employed for more than two years, you're entitled to statutory redundancy pay, paid as a lump sum upon your leaving.

This equates to:
- Two weeks' pay for each year of service (so based on nine years' service as in your case, 18 weeks pay)
- Plus another bonus weeks' pay
Service is calculated as excluding sick leave if you have had more than 26 weeks sick leave, and also excluding other periods of leave such as going on strike. There is a ceiling of 600 EUR per week on these calculations.

Wow, that's not really very much is it?

For further information, see the link below. I googled this for you and looked at literally ten sites that were all out of date before I found the one below. There's a calculator on there so you can work out exactly how much you will get.

Sorry I do not know Irish redundancy law, so I would suggest you take legal advice.
Can I ask you a question, do you know what you are going to do once you have finished with your present employer?
The reason I am asking is I am looking to expand my business into Ireland, and I am looking for people who might like to consider a home based business opportunity.
If you would like more information get back to me by email.

probably the same as in the north. 7 weeks pay or maybe 9. if your being replaced by an eastern european chipmunk which has happened to me 3 times last year, get nasty get even sock it to the man. celtic tiger more like celtic roll over and take it up the shitter. got paid off today, offered the brickies off the book labour "ahm but yes, ahh you see our labourer is coming back from latvia on friday" so there ya go an irish skilled labourer cant even get work in his own country without being passed over for some cu'nt who cant string a coherent sentence together.
